Growing Avocado
Usually you will find people growing avocado in tropical countries, where the conditions are humid and where there are a lot of moisture in the air. However, this doesn’t mean you cannot grow avocado in the UK or any other countries. As long as you provide the right conditions for growing avocado, then there will be no problem at all.
So, the solution is to avoid gardens and outdoor conditions for growing avocado. You can easily grow them in door where the conditions are a lot warmer and you can also provide enough humidity for your plant. You can obtain some dwarf avocado trees, which are suitable for indoor growing.

Germinating avocado Seeds
Avocado stones can be used as seeds. However, they take long time to germinate. So, to make this process easier you can use a compost heap, where you can easily offer ideal conditions for germinating the avocado seeds. This way you will see that growing avocado can be a lot easier. But you can try another method, if you don’t fancy to use compost heap:
- Make some holes on the seed and suspend it over water. You can use a container to hold the water. After this, you will see that roots will start developing within few weeks. Although you may not see a good result for the first time, you should try it again.
- Expose the avocado seeds to direct sunlight. Sunlight will help the seed to split. After the seeds are split you can then put them in a pot.
- After you put the seeds in the pot, you need to water it really good. You need to place it in warm place where there is no light. You need to make sure to keep cheking the pot to see if it is moist enough.
So, growing avocado has never been easier. You will see that it is quite easy to achieve even if you live in colder climates.
